Faerie Talk on The Hermetic Hour

I will be on this show tonight talking about the world of Faerie and my new book "The Green Pulse Oracle." - or you can listen later from the archives of The Hermetic Hour...Jo Carson

On Thursday March 10th, 2016 the Hermetic Hour with host Poke Runyon and Guests Jo Carson of Feraferia and Lady Ann Finnin of the Roebuck, will have a discussion on "Fairy Magick". We will recall the classics in this field such as "The Fairy Faith in Celtic Countries," Evans-Wentz,(1911) "The Faerie Queen" by Edmund Spencer (1590) and more recently Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Sussana Clarke (2004)

Jo will mention other recent books in the field, including one she is working on involving Fred Adams extrapolations from Robert Graves' Celtic "Tree Alphabet" from "The White Goddess" (1946) which should be a veritable Qabalah of fairyland.

Lady Ann will mention the Roebuck's connections to Celtic fairy lore. I will delve into "The Book of Oberon" (2015) a translation of an Elizabethan 16th century magical compendium mixing Solomonic and fairy lore in a compendium similar to the Lemegeton - and including Lemegeton material. So let's all spend an hour under the hill with the changelings and the little people -- and remember what the old cunning man said: "Aye! You can see them if they want you to."

Celebrate Wildness: The Future Starts in Your Own Backyard

At The Maiden Awakens Beltane Festival, offered by Earth Spirit Alliance near Austin, Texas - April 2 - 5, 2015

Building a Faery-Ring Henge

With easy, straight-forward instructions you can build a powerful faery ring henge in any outdoor location and use it to focus your rituals and magical world. Call in the faeries and landforms from the sacred directions and feel it transform. Visit sacred places in earth and stars, and set up linkages between your circle and the land-sky-love body around you. Replant your surrounds with natives and fruit trees to create a garden of abundance. Using these tools we can build the future by the power of attraction rather than fear. Start now to create the paradise we long for.

Here are several Faery-ring henges built by Feraferians:

Feraferia at PantheaCon 2015

Feraferia offered two events at PantheaCon on Monday, February 16th, 2015: https://pantheacon.com/wordpress/  at the San Jose Doubletree Hotel.
On site registration was open all weekend long at a very reasonable $80 for all 4 days.

Feraferia is a love culture for wilderness. A faerie faith, Feraferia connects you to spirits of your particular place in nature. We draw from ancient Crete, the Eleusinian Mysteries, troubadour practices, and megalithic traditions. We celebrate the Sacred Daughter, "Kore." With playfulness, kindness and caring, She carries the keys to the future.

11:00 am — Artemis, Aphrodite & The Ringing Cedars' Anastasia
Western culture has Kore (young Goddess) figures such as Artemis, Persephone & Aphrodite. A new Kore has emerged in "Anastasia," who lives wild in the Siberian forest & teaches magic in The Ringing Cedars series of books. She says Man can save himself by living in touch with nature in family-love based homesteads with pagan aspects. Hundreds of such villages now exist. Is this the Kore of the new era? Is this approach even pagan with its vision of God who created Man as as the "most important life-form in the universe"? Let's chew on these ideas & sort out what is useful.

Lammas Rite on The Hermetic Hour, Aug 7, 2014 8PM PST

Here is the show description; you can listen to it live or later by clicking on the link at the bottom:

On Thursday, August 7th, 2014 (8 - 9pm PST) the Hermetic Hour, with host Poke Runyon, will present a report on the August 2nd Feraferian Lugnasad (Lamas) ceremony that Soror Zandria and Frater Thabion attended as guests of Lady Jo Carson, Avatrix of Feraferia, and her husband John presented at their woodland-surrounded home north of San Francisco, California. The Lugnasad ceremony is described in Fred Adams' "Nine Royal Passions of the Year" as: "The Festival of Fruiting and Beginning of Harvest. The meanderings of the Honeymoon as fruits in scented groves ripen, the breasts of the Goddess swell." Our special guest will be Lady Jo herself who will give us a more profound and intimate description of the event in its idyllic forest setting. Feraferia is the oldest, most elegant and sublime expression of American Neo-Pagan, Goddess centered nature religion. If you are new to this tradition, or if you are already attuned to its enchantment, be sure to join us.
